Inspired by the classic SOG Pentagon Dagger fixed blade, the Pentagon XR combines the classic spear point profile blade with a robust and purpose built folding knife construction and premium materials for a winning design. A strong steel liner construction with an ergonomic, symmetrical handle design, bombproof ambidextrous XR lock and a high performance, American CTS-XHP stainless steel blade make the Pentagon XR an excellent choice for everyday tactical carry. This version has OD Green G10 handle scales and a Black Cerakote coated blade.

Blade: The symmetrical dagger grind, single edge with a partially sharpened false edge tip, affords the user exceptional piercing performance while offering good durability. Durable and non-reflective, the black poly-ceramic Cerakote enhances corrosion resistance and allows for discreet use while the plain edge delivers clean slicing action. The blade rides on a ball bearing pivot for smooth operation and decisive ambidextrous deployment via dual thumb studs, XR lock or flipper tab.

Handle: Beefy stainless steel liners form a semi open back construction with a partial back spacer for added rigidity and protection of the blade when closed. Symmetrically designed with strategic jimping for added traction, the G10 scales are contoured for comfort with an index finger cutout that pairs with the flipper tab guard for added safety in piercing tasks. Able to withstand up to 1,500 pounds of force, the ambidextrous XR lock is reliable, intuitive and easy to operate.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, stainless steel wire pocket clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon ‘stainless’ steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance of D2. With good wear resistance and the ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
