At 15% smaller than the Ultratech (85% the size), the dual action out the front automatic UTX-85 from Microtech makes an even friendlier everyday carry option than its full sized cousin. Same great design and quality American production in a more compact package. This version has a Black anodized aluminum handle, black DLC coated CTS-204P double edge blade and matching DLC coated hardware.

Blade: Equipped with a black Diamond-Like Carbon finish, the blade has a dual, razor sharp, plain cutting edges. The dagger like double edge blade tapers to a fine piercing point and is made from high performance, American CTS-204P stainless steel for exceptional performance. Durable DLC coating holds up against wear from use, enhances corrosion resistance and is discreetly non-reflective. The 3.125 inch blade features a double action mechanism for fast, smooth operation. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, Black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum has rounded edges for a comfortable in-hand feel and smooth transition in and out of your pocket. Several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides enhance traction while the contoured design enhances ergonomics, aesthetics and reduces the weight for carry. Construction is completed with Microtech’s proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production in a matching DLC coated finish.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler’s M390.
