The Microtech Dirac takes the contours of the Halo, the size of the UTX-85 (just a bit smaller) and a top slide design and blends them together for a fantastic new tactical everyday carry automatic. The double edge and top slide combination also make the Dirac fully ambidextrous, perfect for right or left-handed users! This all-black ‘Tactical’ version comes with black hardware, handles and M390 double edge blade.

Blade: Equipped with a black poly-ceramic Cerakote coating, the double edge blade has two razor sharp, plain cutting edges and satin flats for a classy Tactical two-tone look. The sub-3 inch dagger-like blade delivers powerful piercing capability. Double action automatic operation is fast, smooth, and reliable and the top slide position reduces the need for readjustment for operation. Move the ambidextrous thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth and contoured black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum delivers an ergonomic and comfortable feel in-hand as well as a visually appealing shape. Several sections of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides enhance traction in hand. Microtech’s proprietary Tactical black hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip complete the construction.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
