Designed by custom knife maker Sebastijan Berenji, the principle of Borka Blades, the Microtech SBD dagger is an aggressive, tactical fixed blade with a wide double edge dagger blade. Full tang construction sports dual guards, crowned spine and contoured and textured handle scales for a secure, comfortable grip. This version comes with black G10 handle scales and a stonewashed blade with dual cutting edges, one plain and one fully serrated.
Brand new, direct from Microtech Knives, USA.
Blade: The dagger blade is saber ground for a balance of strength and cutting performance with razor sharp cutting edges and a robust point. One edge is a clean slicing plain edge, while the other has aggressive full serrations. The Stonewashed M390 stainless steel has a rugged visual appeal and hides wear from use.
Handle: The full tang blade supports contoured black G10 handle scales that are securely attached with stainless steel Torx hardware. The spine is proud to the scales and crowned for a more ergonomic feel, while strategic jimping around the handle delivers added traction in the hand. A hole at the pommel end allows for lanyard attachment.
Sheath: Carbon fiber pattern Kydex sheath with locking DOTS belt clip.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
