The GiantMouse Ranae was designed for the “Conventus Ranae,” which is the brotherhood of Danish Frogmen, organized to provide support and assistance to current and former frogmen and their families. Only a little more than 300 men have ever made it to becoming a member of the Frømandskorpset special operations group during its 62 years of existence. Each year the unit receives between 500 and 600 applications for membership. However, less than a dozen successfully complete the grueling nine-month course. Designed to meet the strenuous demands of this elite group, the Ranae Dagger has a full tang, N690Co stainless steel blade, black Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon (FRN) handle and Kydex sheath.

Blade: Outfitted with a rugged, wear hiding stonewashed finish, the wide spear-like dagger blade has two razor sharp cutting edges: one plain and one partially serrated. N690Co stainless steel offers balanced performance and low maintenance for worry free use.

Handle: Surrounding the full tang construction is a symmetrical black FRN handle with molded texture for traction and a large double guard for safety in use. An exposed pommel end can be used as an impact tool and has a large hole for lanyard attachment. FRN is lightweight, durable and nearly impervious to the elements making it a perfect choice for this hard use blade.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with DOTS MOLLE locks.

Bohler N690Co: N690Co is a high quality stainless steel with performance similar to Japanese VG-10 with high level corrosion resistance, good edge retention and ease of sharpening. Co stands for cobalt, added to enhance some performance elements.
